Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Great swap, great beer, great conversation.

Thanks again to Steve for organizing it and running the chat room. It was a novel and splendid way to discuss the beers.

Is there an archive of the chat by chance?

No, we were using the free version of the chat room and it wasn't allowed. It wouldn't even let me copy text to save elsewhere.

Gabe is right. If we start heating up these swaps again though we could either look at alternate chat providers or I could upgrade from a free chat room to something with some features.

One thing that really is rewarding here. I have had some pretty horrible "funky" beers over time. For a swap like this I'd expect at least one problematic beer. But both I had last night were outstanding - and I missed the Flanders! It reminds me a bit of CiderDay, they have a bring your own tasting. 8 or 10 years ago this meant bring the abomination of a cider you made, we'll explain what you did wrong. But now the cider makers who attend year after year are using it to showcase the great work they are doing. It's the system working! I'd like to think the same is true here, I'm not directly involved so much any more, but it seems like folks here are really figuring out funky fermentation. Great job gang!
