Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Wyeast 1581-PC Belgian Stout Yeast
Has anyone used it yet? If so, what do you think of it?

I have it still fermenting a Belgian Dubbel. Let you know later. It is a nice yeast that doesn't try to escape from the fermenter.

This yeast is coming out again for the Jan release. Any comments on it?

Thanks,

I was not impressed. It was not very attenuative and did not give off much "Belgian" character.

I tried it last year and did NOT like it at all. Very un-Belgian. It dried out the beer way too much and left no malt character. I used it for a Double.
