Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

I just really like the work levifunk is doing!

Welcome to pick some hops
For anyone in the area of northerm NJ, my Cascade vines are pretty close to ready. As always there are many, many more hops than I can use, anybody who would like some is welcome to come and harvest.

This sounds awesome! If I don't get out of town this weekend maybe I'll swing by ... where are you located?

I (and maybe Nina) may swing by Saturday for some hops. The clausenii/anomulus slurry & a sour blend per request are done.

I'm up for it!

Working on a sour slurry of my own - for sourdough bread that is! A blend of bugs from the French Culinary's 10-yr-old "mother" culture with some Kefir and Kombucha thrown in to balance the lactic and acetic elements. Found the perfect incubator - the cabinet above the fridge. This morning it was trying to get out of the container, smelled awesome (I fed it and transferred to a larger container...wonder if we'll have 'the blob" by tonight!). If I can get a few loaves baked up Fri or Sat morning, I'll bring some for snarfling on Saturday.

Re: Welcome to pick some hops
Oh, its possible! I'll take a look at the vine this weekend, see how ready it is. It was getting close two weekends ago, I am planning to make a fresh hop pale ale this weekend. I'll report back to confirm its ready to go, but I'm pretty sure that's the case.
