Thanks again Podge. Sluiswachter was *great*. We headed there for happy hour after arriving on a Friday afternoon. Locals. But also as I tweeted "Café of historical significance, this Sluiswachter. So much so, the president of the EU Commission drops by for a drop o' lout."

Nieuwpoort News was lovely, excellent recommendation, though plagued by much-too-cold beer. Had my digitherm along (CAMRA member, you see) and found some hovering near 0°. Not only there, but most of the better beer cafés we made it to this trip.

C-Port Lounge was a nice couple of beers, but not really our sort of place, not being rich yacht sailors.

Had fantastic mussels at In de Luwte, very decent beer. Also great though too modern and clean for some was Bierhuis de Vismarkt. I'd probably spend most of my time there next visit; a nice lineup of low-gravity pales like St B 4, Ename Pater, and the venerable XX. Now just get Taras Boulba.

Actually Sluiswachter is where I'd spend most of me time. And Sailors for a steak & St B 8.

So thanks again.
